Artist/Designer

Todd, son to artist and educator William Price, discovered art when he accompanied his father to Jack Richards Art Studio classes and the Akron Beacon Journal, where his father worked as an advertising artist. His apprenticeship to his father taught him the fundamentals of design and fueled his interest in art. Todd then earned an Associates Degree in Visual Communications and Fine Art from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, where he studied under Henry Koerner, Time Magazine cover illustrator, and Shalom Newman.

In 1980, Todd started his own art business, illustrating large-scale outdoor album cover advertisements. Always drawn to fine art, Todd later worked as a preparator at the Akron Art Museum in Ohio. There he handled major works of art, allowing him to closely study paintings, sculptures and art genres. During this time, he also restored Claus Oldenburg’s Inverted Q and designed a children’s hands-on art exhibit.

By 1986, Todd was hired by international billboard company, Foster and Kleiser, to paint full 14’ x 48’ bulletins. As a pictorial artist and paint foreman, Todd mastered painting large scale oil illustrations for national and international accounts.
